Chateau in Fabas, France 2023
Creation Process of a Custom Tile Panel for a Chateau located in Fabas.

Introduction
Embarking on the artistic process of creating a custom tile panel for a jacuzzi was a journey full of inspiration, collaboration and symbolism. In this text, we’ll share our experience and the creative process behind it.

Initial Contact and Client’s Vision
Since our first contact with the clients, our collaboration was filled with open communication and shared enthusiasm. In our initial conversation, we got to understand their vision for the custom tile panel, aiming for an elegant design that would pay homage to the majestic peacocks living in the Chateau.

Conceptualization and Feedback
Since the beginning, we established that we would be using rustic tiles for this project. After listening to the clients inspirations, we translated their vision into a first sketch. The positive response of the clients was encouraging, and together were fined the design and also incorporated personal touches that had meaning to them.

Symbolic Elements

The clients were looking for more than aesthetics and requested some symbolic details to be incorporated in the custom tile panel. The representation of the King Protea of South Africa, symbolizing the client’s roots, a butterfly for the client’s daughter, Anjae, and fish on the vases representing their son, Finn.

Exploring the Color Palette
The selection of the color palette was a crucial element in the creative process of this custom tile panel. After careful consideration and revision of the Chateau’s colors, we suggested using a shade of soft blue, contrasting and enhancing the shades of brown and sepia.

Conclusion
The making of this custom tile panel was a blend of work, passion and collaboration between us and the client. Which showed the power of a shared vision and added custom symbolism. While we await the final installation of the custom tile panel, we reflect on the creativity and collaboration that brought the clients’ vision to life.
